Washington High School
Massillon, Ohio

Q: What year did you graduate from Washington High School, and what activities or clubs were you involved in?

A: I graduated in 2021. I was involved in the Swing Band on the Drumline, Pep Band, Pep Club, Class Advisory, Student Council, varsity soccer for one year, and I helped start the Ski Club.

Q: What inspired you to join the Alumni Association Board, and what excites you most about supporting WHS alumni?

A: I joined the Alumni Association Board because I wanted to stay connected to the Massillon community and help strengthen the bond between current students and alumni. I love seeing how the pride and tradition of WHS continue through every generation, and I’m excited to be part of keeping that legacy alive.

Q: What is your role on the Alumni Association Board, and what kinds of things do you help with or focus on?

A: I serve as the Social Media and Communications Coordinator on the board. I primarily manage the Facebook page, assist with the Scholarship Committee, and jump in wherever help is needed. I really enjoy helping share updates and celebrate all the amazing things our alumni and students are doing.

Q: Can you share a favorite memory from your time at WHS or a fun fact about yourself?

A: My favorite memory from WHS is when Massillon beat Hoban at Akron University. The energy of that game is something I’ll never forget—it was so loud, everyone was having a great time, and it was a feeling I’ll never be able to replicate. Another special memory was traveling to Costa Rica my sophomore year with Spanish. I loved getting to meet new people, explore the country, and even got to spend my 16th birthday in Tortuguero with my friends.

Q: What advice or message would you like to share with current WHS students or fellow alumni?

A: To current students: Enjoy your time at WHS—there will always be good and bad memories, but there’s always at least one thing you’ll wish you could do just one more time.

To alumni: While we all go on our own adventures after graduation, we can always come back home. The pride and spirit of Massillon remain the same. Come back, visit, and support our students—they are going on to accomplish great things!

Q: What are your goals for serving on the Alumni Association Board?

A: My goal is to make the Alumni Association more engaging for younger alumni by improving our use of technology. I want to build on the strong foundation that past generations have created while helping ensure the Association continues to grow and stay connected in ways that work for everyone. I also hope to help more recent graduates learn about the Alumni Association—whether that’s by visiting the school during the last few weeks of classes or by being more involved in community events.
