Q: What year did you graduate from Washington High School, and what activities or clubs were you involved in?
A: I graduated in 2009, and I stayed very involved during my time at Washington High School. I participated in band and choir, including Swing Band, Basketball Band, and Pit Orchestra. I was also active in journalism, writing for both the Hi-Times and the literary magazine, The Quill, and I enjoyed being part of French Club.
Q: What inspired you to join the Alumni Association board, and what excites you most about supporting WHS alumni?
A: I joined the Alumni Association as a way to stay connected with the Massillon community and with fellow Tigers. It’s meaningful to continue being involved with WHS and to help support both current and future alumni.
Q: What is your role on the Alumni Association board, and what kinds of things do you help with or focus on?
A: I currently serve as the Recording Secretary for the Washington High School Alumni Association. It has been a wonderful way to connect with other alumni while giving back to the community that helped shape me.
Q: Can you share a favorite memory from your time at WHS or a fun fact about yourself?
A: One of my favorite high school memories was participating in the Miss Massillonian assembly. I shared that my favorite hobby in elementary school was nap time — and the crowd absolutely loved it!
Q: What advice or message would you like to share with current WHS students or fellow alumni?
A:High school is truly what you make it. I had a great experience because I joined every club I could, made all types of friends, and embraced every opportunity. Get involved, try new things, and enjoy the memories you’re creating.
Q: What do you enjoy most about serving on the Alumni Association board, and what do you hope to accomplish with the team?
A: Serving on the board has been a meaningful way to stay connected while supporting the Tiger community. I look forward to continuing to help strengthen the bond between past, present, and future Tigers and contributing to the work our team is doing together.
