This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Cody Wolfe, a proud Massillon Washington High School graduate from the Class of 2010. Cody has turned his creativity into a meaningful career, stayed rooted in the Massillon community, and continues to inspire others through his authenticity, work ethic, and compassion for those around him.

Q: What year did you graduate from Massillon Washington High School?
A: I graduated in 2010.
Q: What activities, clubs, or sports were you involved in during your time at WHS?
A: I was a Village Idiot!
Q: What is one of your favorite memories from your high school years?
A: There are so many great memories that it’s impossible to pinpoint just one. Instead, I’ll say that the group of friends I surrounded myself with meant the most to me. While we don’t all talk today, I love and miss them all and genuinely hope they’re all doing well in life.
Q: What have you gone on to achieve since graduation (career, education, military service, community involvement, etc.)?
A: I became a tattoo artist! This year, I opened my own private suite, Black Cat Tattoo, right here in Massillon. Somehow, I managed to turn drawing on people into an almost decade-long career, which still amazes me to this day.
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: The best thing I have ever done—and ever will do—is being a father to my son, Oliver. That dude is my best friend. I wouldn’t be who I am today without him.
Q: How did your time at Massillon help prepare you for life after high school?
A: My time at Massillon taught me to show up for myself. You get back what you put in. If there is no effort, there can’t be a reward. No matter what that reward might be, you have to work for it.
Q: What advice would you give to current Tigers?
A: Be unapologetically you. Don’t let anyone or anything stand in the way of who you are or what you’re trying to accomplish in life. We only get one shot at all of this, so let’s do our best to make the most of it.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share with fellow alumni?
A: Thank you for taking the time to read this. The last thing I want to say is to take care of yourself mentally. It isn’t always easy, but things can’t get better if you’re not here to witness it. If you’re struggling, reach out to someone for help. And if you feel like you don’t have anyone, reach out to me. I’m just a dude—but I’ll talk to you about anything and everything. This life is better with you here in it.
