It’s time for another Alumni Spotlight! This week, we’re featuring someone who truly bleeds orange and black — Aidan Longwell, Class of 2020! From Friday nights under the lights to chasing his baseball dreams, Aidan has continued to make Massillon proud.


Q: What year did you graduate from Massillon Washington High School?
A: 2020
Q: What activities, clubs, or sports were you involved in during your time at WHS?
A: Football and Baseball
Q: What is one of your favorite memories from your high school years?
A: My favorite memory is beating McKinley all 4 years in football and especially my senior year, when we celebrated downtown with the whole city.
Q: What have you gone on to achieve since graduation?
A: I played baseball at Kent State University and was drafted in 2023 by the Colorado Rockies in the 17th round. I currently play in the Colorado Rockies minor league farm system.
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Being drafted to play professional baseball was a lifelong dream of mine and to be able to achieve that is a great accomplishment.
Q: How did your time at Massillon help prepare you for life after high school?
A: Going to WHS helped me prepare for life after high school by learning how to work together with others and helped me develop my leadership skills.
Q: What advice would you give to current Tigers?
A: Embrace everything while at WHS and enjoy your time because it goes by fast. Massillon is a special place and not everyone gets to experience the traditions and pride that comes with going to WHS.
