Board Departures

After serving 9-year terms, Tom Seesan '67 and Bob Wenzel '74 both must step down from the board per the WHSAA by-laws and constitution. Tom has served many years as the treasurer while Bob is completing his second 9-year term and his second round as the board president.  Bob will continue to work on the newsletter, which he has done since 2003.

Also departing the board after serving 7 years each are Denny Highben '69 and Olivia Bronczek '10. Frank Hill V '18 had to resign from the board due to his Washington DC internship.

All five of these alums have contributed greatly to our association!

New Members

Two new faces that will be joining the Board of Trustees in May are Ann Ely Higgins '66 and Nadine Christine '83. Both have been involved with their class reunions over the years and will bring their insights into alumni activities to this next board term for 2022-2023.

Welcome Ann and Nadine!

A New Emeritus Status Trustee

Linda Blickenderfer '70 Waechter has been designated as an emeritus alumna of the WHSAA Board of Trustees. This status is granted by the board to those former board members who have served us well.

Linda was the first alumna to complete two 9-year board terms and was the treasurer and corresponding secretary at different points in her terms. She has also served as president of the Touchdown Club and on the Junior Board of the Massillon Tiger Booster Club for many years.

Thank you from a grateful "Tiger Nation" for all you've done and continue to do!
